"STUDY: CONSERVATIVES MORE LIKELY TO MAKE UP FACTS IN ORDER TO JUSTIFY THEIR BELIEFS"

I don't trust that website (at the link) but - Boy - all I have to do is read most comments here, recently, to know this is true:

Like, did anybody else notice, I didn't become a racist to conservatives until after I started commenting on conservative's racism? And it was their open racism - during the Trayvon trial -  that prompted me to make changes in TMR's focus? Really, that's how I became a racist.

(Calling libs racist was "all good" by conservatives, BTW, because, apparently, only white liberals can be racist,...) 

Or, did anybody else notice, how commenting on white conservative's racism, somehow, turned me into an Obama supporter in their eyes?

And, did anybody else notice, once white conservatives made up their minds certain lies are true, they attacked me based on those delusions?

And, did anybody else notice, this is also how slavery got started?

This gets us back into that whole "once you go black" thing again:

Can you imagine the movies we'd be watching if someone bothered to show the real story of America? Sweeney Todd, anyone?

The brutal treatment of Black people continued well after slavery legally ended, through the days of Jim Crow, Civil Rights, and, to a certain extent today. The trauma caused by this psychological brutality resulted in severe damaged to the mind of the victims, which manifested as an identity crisis, self hate,  low self worth, and  a distrust of the world at large. This mentality has been passed down through generations.

Today, conditions such as low socioeconomic status, social deprivation, inadequate education, high unemployment, and the criminal industrial complex has reinforced this negative mentality, which has and  still affects behavior in the Black community today, including young black boys."

"Being kind to black people can mark you for life, so consider this when you encounter racism and wonder why more people don’t stop to offer help."

Some perspective, in case anybody wants to insist on the delusion that black slaveowners, white slaves, or free blacks were some major phenomena:

"In 1860, 89 percent of the nation's African Americans were slaves,…." 

 Flash-forward, to my birth, 100 years after The Civil War (when, supposedly, all the bad stuff ended) and white society still hadn't come to it's senses - while claiming they were behaving normally. Whites still worked over-time, before "Say It Loud - I'm Black And I'm Proud!" trying to convince blacks like me we were the ones with the problem. They expect to walk away from that decades-long mindfuck, without it being mentioned, too.

You see, they want my help in claiming everything happened long ago.

And now, somehow, we're supposed to buy the story blacks should be happy and/or satisfied watching whites posing as authorities on everything - but, especially, justice, ethics and (as the divorce and adultery rate shows) morality - while openly spending the money blacks made once whites gave themselves a multi-century free ride.

Or is it that we should just take our lumps and let them go about their business? 

Either way, what a weird thing to expect us to be thankful for,...

 

Well, children, where there is so much racket there must be something out of kilter. I think that ‘twixt the negroes of the South and the women at the North, all talking about rights, the white men will be in a fix pretty soon. But what’s all this here talking about?

That man over there says that women need to be helped into carriages, and lifted over ditches, and to have the best place everywhere. Nobody ever helps me into carriages, or over mud-puddles, or gives me any best place! And ain’t I a woman? Look at me! Look at my arm! Then they talk about this thing in the head; what’s this they call it? [member of audience whispers, "intellect"] That’s it, honey. What’s that got to do with women’s rights or negroes’ rights? If my cup won’t hold but a pint, and yours holds a quart, wouldn’t you be mean not to let me have my little half measure full?

Then that little man in black there, he says women can’t have as much rights as men, ’cause Christ wasn’t a woman! Where did your Christ come from? Where did your Christ come from? From God and a woman! Man had nothing to do with Him.

If the first woman God ever made was strong enough to turn the world upside down all alone, these women together ought to be able to turn it back , and get it right side up again! And now they is asking to do it, the men better let them.

Reading/thinking. Thinking/reading - it's nothing but trouble:

The letter also said Mrs. Madison had refused to free Mr. Jennings, as her husband had wished. Instead, she sold him to an insurance agent, who in turn sold him to Senator Daniel Webster for $120. (He promptly set Mr. Jennings free and let him work off the debt as a servant in his household.)"

My, my - let me tell you what crossed my mind:

Since I know ever more realistic (and, thus, ever more horrifying) images of America are coming - so it's going to get really, really dark out there - can we just cut to the chase and agree that calling history "black," early on, was the right thing to do?

150 years after Frederick Douglas' mane, black people are still getting in trouble with whites over our hair. That's the limits of our  freedom. The wealth created by the labor of millions for centuries, under torture, has been declared,...disappeared, putting America on pretty shaky psychological footing - not to mention, grinding it's dishonesty into the soil. A dishonesty the exploited already knew quite well and, so, expected.

Ahem. "We had"? Who was "had"? We're trending!
